International influences
Nina's artistic expression is strongly influenced by her global outlook. Her professional years in Ireland and England heightened her sensitivity to space, silence, human presence, and environment. She also undertook formative travels to China and Japan, where she absorbed the aesthetics of wabi-sabi, Eastern composition, and the poetic power of emptiness and gesture in traditional calligraphy. These influences are evident in her work's refined color palettes, layered textures, and balance between form and void.
Artistic Vision & Technique
Nina's work hovers between abstraction and figuration. She works intuitively with mixed media, palette knives, and textured layers of paint. Central to many of her compositions are human silhouettes—minimal, anonymous forms imbued with energy, vulnerability, and presence. Each artwork reflects an emotional state or moment of stillness, offering a universal sense of recognition and resonance.
